Harold Young

Founder of the Belize Pantheon Fantastic

Currently living in Belize, Harold A. Young is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science & Public Management at Austin Peay State University, Tennessee. He earned his PH.D. in Philosophy (Political Science) from Georgia State University and J.D. (LL.b./C.L.E.) from the University of the West Indies/Norman Manley School of Law. His work is published in several journals. His academic book, “The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and the Caribbean Court of Justice: Navigating Independence and Changing Political Environments” is now available in hardcover, paperback, and kindle (amazon.com). The children’s book, “Keron Flies his Kite” (2018, available on request from the author) was his first foray into creative writing. He established the Belize Pantheon Fantastic Foundation as a platform for Belizean art. The Foundation sponsors an annual event featuring varying art forms based on his short mythological story,” The Legend of the Sleeping Giants” (2020).
